The Colleen Classic golf outing, named in memory of Colleen Mary Welch, the daughter of Rosaria co-founder, Tom Welch. Colleen had Down Syndrome, and died from a sudden illness in 2013 at age 22. In many ways, Colleen was (and remains) the inspiration for Rosaria Communities. Her infectious personality and unconditional love for everyone continue to inform the spirit of the Rosaria mission.

The inaugural Colleen Classic was held in late October of 2014 at the beautiful Blue Mash Golf Course in Laytonsville, MD. The response from our community was incredible! A full field of players signed up within days, and corporate sponsors were plentiful. We had a beautiful autumn day and heard consistent feedback that the Colleen Classic was both fun and well organized. The event netted proceeds of more than $30,000. Proceeds are used to support expenditures for Rosaria Communities, Inc.
